The Indonesian Association of Islamic Economists in the United Kingdom (IAEI-UK) is the Regional Executive Board (DPW) of Ikatan Ahli Ekonomi Islam representing Islamic economics scholars, practitioners, and enthusiasts across the United Kingdom, including England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
Bringing together members from diverse academic disciplines and professional backgrounds, IAEI-UK is committed to contributing to the welfare and progress of society through the advancement of Islamic economics. Our work spans both theoretical and practical domains, with a distinctive approach that bridges intellectual traditions from the Muslim world in the East and the West.

Perbankan Islam harus berkembang melampaui kepatuhan syariah dasar dengan mengintegrasikan keberlanjutan dalam operasionalnya. Berlandaskan maqasid syariah, bank Islam harus menjadi pemimpin dalam keuangan etis melalui inisiatif ramah lingkungan, peningkatan tata kelola, dan produk berorientasi keberlanjutan. Komitmen jangka panjang terhadap tanggung jawab sosial dan lingkungan akan memperkuat kepercayaan, daya saing, dan keselarasan dengan tujuan keberlanjutan global.
Ekonomi Islam masa depan harus bersifat universal, berorientasi pada kesejahteraan, dan melampaui fiqh semata. Fokusnya mencakup keberlanjutan, keadilan, serta keseimbangan antara pertumbuhan dan distribusi. Di era digital, ekonomi Islam harus beradaptasi dengan disrupsi teknologi tanpa mengabaikan nilai-nilai syariah, memastikan inovasi selaras dengan tujuan maqashid syariah.
IAEI UK dan FoSSEI mengadakan Live Instagram bertema “Lulusan Ekonomi Syariah: Setelah Studi Lanjut, Kemana?” pada 6 Oktober 2024. Webinar ini membahas peluang studi lanjutan bagi lulusan Ekonomi Syariah, menyoroti pentingnya keahlian multidisiplin dan fleksibilitas jurusan. Para pembicara berbagi wawasan tentang pilihan studi, strategi aplikasi, serta destinasi akademik global, membekali peserta dengan perspektif luas untuk berkontribusi dalam ekonomi syariah secara global.

Coming from various scientific disciplines and professions. IAEI UK members are committed to building the welfare of Indonesia through the development of a multidisciplinary Islamic economics, both at the theoretical and practical levels, by uniquely combining the styles of Muslims' thought in the eastern and western worlds.
